Do I need any special materials or textbooks to use this curriculum?

No special materials required. The curriculum works with animal books you likely already own or can borrow from your library. All lesson plans, worksheets, and teaching guides are included in your digital download.

What age range or grade levels does this curriculum cover?

This curriculum is designed for elementary-level homeschoolers, typically grades 1-5, with flexible adaptations for advanced younger readers or struggling older readers. Each unit includes differentiation strategies to match your child's level.

Will this actually replace our language arts curriculum, or is it supplemental?

This is a complete, stand-alone literacy curriculum that covers reading comprehension, writing, grammar, and speaking skills through animal story units. Many families use it as their primary language arts program, though you can also supplement with additional resources as needed.

How much time per week should I expect to spend on lessons?

Most lessons are designed for 3-4 hours per week, typically broken into manageable daily sessions of 30-45 minutes. The flexible structure lets you adjust based on your schedule and your child's engagement level.
